MESSAGES FROM SENDAI, MIYAGI PREFECTURE, JAPAN
Thank you very much for all your help. My name is Mizuki Ota. I lived in Australia as an exchange student for a year and I came back last year.
I live in Natori city in Miyagi prefecture. I go to Sendai Shirayuri Gakuen High School. I experienced a big earthquake when I was in my school on March 11th. We had a hard time.
Now we are having normal days like we had before the earthquake. Although some cities which are located in coastal areas still have many inconveniences, almost all the inland cities have recovered from the earthquake.
It is surprising that we recovered from the big crisis in two months. Without foreign countries’ support it was definitely unachievable. Right now, we are fighting against radiation.
We will do our very best to revive our country. Not only me, but all Japanese people appreciate your support. I am sending this letter of thanks on behalf of Japanese people.
With love,
Mizuki Ota

To Our Kind Supporters:
This is a thank-you letter from us for your kind support to JAPAN in response to the recent earthquake and tsunami.
We are Japanese students in a Catholic high school in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. We are in the last grade(grade 12) and are all in the same class. Also, we all have been to study abroad for about one year.
As you know, the Japan earthquake hit on March 11 this year and it caused great damage. There are still people who live in the evacuation centers, have no home, and eat little more that instant noodles every day. Despite such hardships, we all remember the many people throughout the world who have supported us. We really appreciate what you have done for us, so we wanted to send a thank-you letter to you. Our appreciation will hopefully come across to you.
Thank you again for your support and prayers.
Yours truly,
Midori Watanabe and Hitomi Sato
