2022 Autumn Conferment of Decorations

The Government of Japan announced on 3 November the 2022 Autumn Conferment of Decorations for their outstanding contribution to their respective areas.
 
The Embassy of Japan in Australia wishes it to be known that the following two recipients in Australia shall be conferred with decorations in recognition of their services. The details of the recipients are as follow;
  
Emeritus Professor Paul Dibb AM

Former Deputy Secretary for Strategy and Intelligence in the Department of Defence 

Former Director of the Joint Intelligence Organisation

Emeritus Professor of defence and strategic studies, Australian National University

Emeritus Professor Paul Dibb AM has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon for his contribution to promoting cooperative relations in the field of defence between Japan and Australia.
 
Ms Eriko Prior (SASAKI Eriko) 

Former locally-engaged staff member at the Embassy of Japan in Australia

Ms Eriko Prior has been awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays for her services at the Embassy of Japan in Australia.
