2022 Conferment of Decorations

The Government of Japan announced on 8 November the 2022 Conferment of Decorations for their outstanding contributions to their respective areas.
The Embassy of Japan in Australia wishes it to be known that the following recipient in Australia shall be conferred with decorations in recognition of her services. The details of the recipient are as follows;
Professor Carol Hayes
Professor, College of Asia & the Pacific, Australian National University
Professor Carol Hayes has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for her contribution to promoting academic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Australia
