2020 Autumn Conferment of Decorations

The Government of Japan announced on 3 November the 2020 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Japanese Nationals for their outstanding contribution to their respective areas.
The Embassy of Japan therefore wishes it to be known that the following recipient shall be conferred with decorations in recognition of their endeavours. The details of the recipient is as follow;
Mr IKEDA Shunichi
Former Director and Senior Lecturer of the ANU Japan Centre
Vice-President of Australia-Japan Society – ACT Inc.
Mr IKEDA Shunichi has been awarded “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays” for his contribution to Japanese language education in Australia and promoting friendship between Japan and Australia.
