Presentation of Credentials

On 13 February 2019, Ambassador Reiichiro Takahashi presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Under the clear morning sky, the Ambassador and Mrs Takahashi were greeted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Deputy Chief of Protocol and escorted from the Ambassador’s Residence to Government House for the presentation ceremony.
In the private conversation following the Presentation of Credentials, the Governor-General said that he was gratified to see the Australia-Japan bilateral relationship become closer than ever.
Ambassador and Madame enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Ceremony.
