Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr Michael Hodgkin

On 9th September, Ambassador Sumio Kusaka presented the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr Michael Hodgkin at his residence. Mr Hodgkin has contributed to the development of friendship between Japan and Australia through activities organised by the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Inc. Among his family members and friends, Mr Hodgkin expressed his appreciation for receiving this Commendation and stated that it was totally unexpected yet he was very surprised when he was notified of the announcement.  Mr Hodgkin also said that he would continue to keep playing a part in promoting the friendship between the two countries through AJS activities.
