2018 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals

 
The Government of Japan announced on 3 November the 2018 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals for their outstanding contribution to their respective areas. The Embassy of Japan therefore wishes it to be known that the following recipient shall be conferred with decorations in recognition of their endeavours. The details of the recipient is as follows;
 
Mr. Barrington Frederick Jarman
· Former President of the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Inc.
· Former Member of the Canberra-Nara Sister City Committee
 
Mr. Barrington Frederick Jarman has been awarded “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” for his contribution to develop Japanese language education in Australia and promote exchanges between Japan and Australia.
