Ambassador Suzuki’s Official Visit to South Australia

Ambassador Suzuki visited South Australia from the 11th to the 14th of June. He began by meeting with the South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas MP and Terry Stephens MLC, important State Government and legislative parliamentary figures, to discuss Japan-Australia cooperation in a wide range of issues from hydrogen and renewable energy to housing, the defence industry and more.
A social gathering with South Australian federal members of parliament and Japanese officials, a speech at the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adelaide inc. and wreath laying ceremony at the Adelaide National War Memorial were also held during the visit.
The Ambassador also met with Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator Penny Wong, Minister for Trade and Tourism Senator Don Farrell, Minster for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler MP and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator Simon Birmingham to discuss among many topics cooperation between Japan and Australia in regional and international affairs including the Indo-Pacific, as well as on matters of security, finance and health.
