Ambassador Suzuki attends the Launch Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

On February 10, Ambassador Suzuki Kazuhiro attended the launch event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan held by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In his speech, the Ambassador expressed his anticipation that Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will lead to further deepening of the Japan-Australia relationship across many areas and communicated his hopes for the success of the Australian Pavilion. The launch boosted momentum towards the fast-approaching Expo, and Mr Andrew Barr, Chief Minister of the ACT, Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism, the Hon Madeleine King MP, Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia, and others with connections to Japan-Australia relations attended the event with the official mascots for both countries also making an appearance. In addition, official documents from Osaka’s Expo ‘70 were also on exhibit, creating the opportunity to reaffirm the history and significance of Expo.
