Ambassador Suzuki's Visit to Adelaide in South Australia

From the 18th to the 20th of May, Ambassador Kazuhiro Suzuki visited Adelaide in South Australia.

Building on the success of the recent visit by Prime Minister Takaichi's visit to Australia early May, Ambassador Suzuki met with Senator the Hon Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs on the 18th of May and exchanged views on how to advance Japan-Australia relations into the future. On the 20th, the Ambassador joined Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia for lunch at Government House where they discussed ways to further strengthen ties between Japan and South Australia. Additionally, Ambassador Suzuki held productive exchanges of views regarding the future of Japan-Australia relations with State and Federal parliamentarians, representatives of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adelaide Inc., officials from the South Australia State Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and other experts during his visit.
