2018 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals Ceremony for Mr Barrington Frederick Jarman, Former President of the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Inc.

On Thursday 28 February 2019, Mr. Barrington Frederick Jarman, Former President of the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Inc. was bestowed the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette in the 2018 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals for his significant achievements and unwavering support in promoting friendship between Japan and Australia over four decades in the areas of youth exchange, Japanese language learning in Canberra, and the sister city relationship between Canberra and Nara.

In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Takahashi thanked Mr Jarman for his enormous contributions. The ceremony concluded with remarks from Mr Jarman and was attended by his family and friends.
